All Tagged-y

The good thing about procrastinating when you ought to be doing that tag is that, someone else also tags you and so can just just do 2 tags in one. Haha! or maybe not.

Anyway, I got tagged by the friendly neighborhood bloggies Sujana and Rahul. Thank you for the tag! Mucho gracias really! Cos I sincerely believe that there's nothing like a classy tag to bring lazy bloggers like me back to back. Yo!

Laying out the rules for anyone who still hasn't come across them. Improbable as that sounds though..
Here!
The rules are-
Rule#1: Put the rules on your blog.

Rule#2: Every person tagged should tell 11 things about themselves, answer the 11 questions asked by the one that tagged you, tag 11 other people and ask them 11 different questions.

Rule#3: Let the people whom you tagged know you've done so.

Rule#4: Don't tag anyone who's been tagged before.

Rule#5: Really do tag 11 others, don't go all ''if you want to take this tag''

11 RANDOM THINGS ABOUT ME
Now this is a bit more tough than it seems cos of all the "tell me random things about you" tags I've done in the past. But I guess everyone else has been through that too?
  1. I worry that wearing sandals that are larger than my feet will cause em to grow enough to be fit for the sandals. I don't know where I got that idea from, but it sure stuck on. Funnier is that I wear my uncle's old hawaii slippers around my hostel though, which are reaaally too big for me. Why despite the fear of feet growing big? Laziness my love. Too lazy to go out and buy another pair.
  2. "Everyone's nice, until proven otherwise". Pretty much what I prefer to think of the rest of the world. That's a more comfortable way to live life cos it means, for me, there are only 2 people in my world that I actually can't stand. Everyone else is really nice, and I'm ok with letting them all have more than ten flaws to them. =)
Might as well spread the motto to the rest of you all.Try living this way! =)
  3. I'm the ultimate book-crazy and book-snob and book-happy person out there, well, at least according to me! Working at a library means I get my hands on all sorts of amazing paperbacks, hardbacks, and all sorts of heavenliness that comes in the shape of books. I LUFF my job!
  4. My phone and I don't get along really well. I use it only when the need comes for music or communication. Hate having to hold a phone when I'd rather not. Which also means I've missed out hundreds of important calls and had One Angry Mom call up my colleagues or friends cos she couldn't get through to me, and yell that "just throw the phone away if you won't keep it around!!" In fact, most of my mom calls are fielded by my friends, come to think of it!
  5.   I hate having to attend weddings on principle. But recently, I've been to weddings that I really wanted to be at, and loved being there too. =) But still, I hate weddings. So much so that I wish I can just run away with the guy, his immediate family, my family and my friends and have a simple function. I'm the kind who thinks it's a waste of a whole lot of money which could otherwise be spent on getting me a Samsung Galaxy Tab. Just you wait till I actually get married!
  6. Might've mentioned this plenty times, but-i LOVE brothers. (Cos I don't have one? Ain't that obvious?)I'm a sucker for brothers. Which means if you came up to me and said "I'm your brother", I'd fall flat, splat and do anything for you even if you broke my heart thrice and some more. True story.
  7. And I love my sister to bits. She's my faux-kid to play around with, sneaky-partner-in-crime, best friend and so much more. Everyone says I ruined her for life by making her addicted to South Korean pop culture like me, but really, she fell for the deal all on her own. I swear!
  8. Everyone hereabout already know my love and madness and obsessive relationship with South Korean music, dramas, movies and pop culture. This mention was just for the new readers. =)  I can even speak and understand quite a lot of Hangul (Korean) these days. Sashiriya! (It's true!)
  9. It wasn't always like this, but nowadays I need to have the right mood to watch movies and eat chocolates. Not happy with this change. =(
  10. I'm inherently unceremonious about everything. Almost everything anyway. Must have something to do with my being a leftie.
  11. I love checking out couture. Especially Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer collections. Though I avoid the strictly summer-only collections like the plague. Way too much of skin instead of pretty clothes always annoys me with its absurdity.
  12. AN EXTRA- I tend to malapropise and mix up words a lot. One of my friends tell me that she always has to guess out what I mean, cos what I speak usually sounds too post-modern and weird. Lol. But this is only in the case of my mother tongue. I'm smoother when I'm talking in English.
  13. And one more- I dress sloppy all the time to the point that mom wonders maybe God had planned me to be a boy but somehow things ended up with me being born a girl.

SUJANA'S 11 QUESTIONS:

1) What's your favorite place?
Hmm, where I did my undergrad-Brennen college? Or that vacation retreat of my uncle's? oh well, both!

2) If you had to marry a celebrity, who would it be?
Rahul Bose! or Arundhati Roy. And there's this really cool rocker-celeb Korean out there from

3) Do you want a twin?
Nooo!!!!!!!! I'm fine by me. I did want one for sometime back when I was a kid though. But I guess i twin brother would have been cool. =)

4) How long is your oldest friendship?
Since I was a wee-baby? I got all my long-lost neighborhood buddies back, thanks to Orkut and dearest Facebook. Thank ye, lords of Social Media!

5) What's your greatest achievement?
If I can make a friend/person look up to me, If I can make just anyone happy- I'd take that to be a big achievement. =)

6) If you could only talk to one person for the rest of your life, who would it be?
There's this whole herd of best friends I'd want to spend my life with. There's Dope, my Rock, Ms Sunshine, Sister, Twin (though we've been really uncommunicative nowadays), Khe, China, my own Sassy Girl, The Good Girl, the Rocker, the BrothersTwo, Peepi, MotorMouth, and a whole lot of others I can't find nicknames for for now. But right now? It's Dope Proper.

But if you asked me the song for life- i have just one answer-
Rest-Standing Egg.

7) Socks and sandals- yes or no?
    Never!

8) Choose your power: Mind reading or invisibility?
Mind reading a hundred thousand times over!

9) What's your method of transportation?
Pillion riding on bikes with girlfriends. =)

10) Favorite book?
Why not just kill me?Say just one???

11) Facebook, twitter or neither? Why?

Where's the "both" option? But I treat my Fb like my Twitter anyway.

RAHUL'S 11 QUESTIONS:

Words, music and good friends. And fun Korean dramas. =)
  2. Cinema and politics- what do they mean for you?
Good cinema can go a long way in strengthening innate goodness in people and I love watching good movies; and politics? I want to find at least ONE politician who has actively worked for the mass before I die.
  3. One good thing you want to happen in India, for people – Long term?
I want Indians to stop being hypocrites and do the good things you want to see in the world instead of just talking about change.

  7. Belief in God?
    Yup. Wholeheartedly believes in monotheism.
  8. One thing you would surely do to uplift this poor country?
Not splurge on anything. When I hear so-and-so spend more than sane on such-and-such clothes, hair, wedding etc, I feel horrid thinking of the less privileged who could have gained something more important from all that money.
Plus I had like to make charity every month once I have a job that pays well unlike this intern thing.
  9. One secret about you?
    Just one? =)
  10. Do you hold any regrets in your life?
That I can't sue my bastard of an ex Dept Head . That I couldn't confess a whole lot of things to people that mattered and now it's too late.
  11.  Adventure if any in life…lets count
Getting lost in the city all alone
Girl trips. They always end up becoming adventures =D

  4. Gayatri Rao
  5. Red Handed
  6. Serendipity
  7. Neha

Once Upon a time I was tagged..

Exactly, Bobby tagged me like, AGES back and I never got around to actually doing it. Now I've done it [phew!], and it ain't lookin' brief. It definitely looks more like an epic rather than a simple, fun tag. Whatev, here we go:

  1. I want to write a book and getitpublished. Yeah! No idea what I'll write about though.
  2. I like to sleep with my feet outside the bed. Call it acquired weirdness people, but during some recent phase of life I find that my feet hurt when they are IN bed.
  3. Sleep answering the phone and sleep deleting messages.
  4. I'm a scaredy-cat. I act strong but truth is, all it takes to give me the heebie-jeebies is the silliest tiny horror piece ever.
  5. A rejection phoebe. Most of my decisions regarding relationships come from this fear. I play safe. I just…can't…handle anyone saying anything that even remotely feels like rejection. It hurts like hell even after 10 years.
  6. The only reason why I'm still in orkut is the testimonial factor. And a certain Pinocchio who won't move to facebook. ;) [not yet!]
  7. Traveling.
  8. I wish I'd an elder brother.
  9. I'm all about jazz and indie music
  10. I…..eat……real……slow. freaks out family and friends every time. Without. Fail.
  11. I normally read my newspaper from back to front.
  12. One thing I have absolutely ZERO patience for is matters of heart. Of course, I'm sort of heartless bitch. No sympathy for heartbroken people, and when I have to console in the name of civilized society, I always overdo and make it look as if someone just died. Chances of me laughing at break ups are rather hiiiiiiiigh. If I were to be honest with you, I'd actually say, "s/he left? Good riddance!" tolja!
  13. ..and ZERO patience to cheating in exams when u could have studied. So DON'T you dare think I'm cool with you cheating. It's massively uncool.
  14. can't smile like normal people do. It always looks like a vampire fighting his urge to fly and murder [the photographer in this case]. I'm cool to smiling with friends for camera, but otherwise…
  15. Have given up swooning at guys unlike the rest of girls. There's so much more to do!
  16. I fantasize about what The Perfect Birthday Gifts should be.
  17. I've this thing for Darcy and Sirius Black. No, no Cullens though they're freakin' beautiful.
  18. I wish I could just live single my whole life. [wishful thinking, yeah, I know]. [and I guess I just repeated myself in the same tag]
  19. Two places and cultures I'm currently crazy about are Dilli and South Korea.
  20. Kind of on the un-feminine side. Yep, hates jewellery, fancy family events, can't stand love-sick people OR love-sick movies/ TV dramas etc etc. Didn't enjoy Twilight series once the initial attraction wore out.
  21. I wish to one day be a script writer. At least write one, absolutely beautiful script. The kind that India is yet to see. Yip, great ambitions bottled up in here!
  22. I mostly love to give up on family functions whenever possible because (i) almost everyone assembled is a hypocrite. (ii and most important) their lives revolve around marriages, upcoming marriages, and people who're yet to get married- which includes yours truly. And I can't stand to smile when I'd rather be swearing. Cousins are fun. Distant aunts et al suck!
  23. I oscillate between extremes. So much for being a supposedly balanced Libran!
  24. BTW, I don't believe in any sort of superstitious stuff. Though I think cracking knuckles to ward off "evil eye" is kinda cool!
  25. I seem to like kid stuff MORE than my kid sister even! Gah!

I'm sure that ONCE I've posted it, I'll remember a 100 other things I could've added. Those who liked the post ought to do it! No pressures, and oui, I'm breaking the tag-ritual.

The Sach ka saamna tag

J does this fun tag. I nicked it! :)

The rules are thus…
RULE 1
You can only say Guilty or Innocent

[I skip the second rule. :D]

Here it begins...!
Ever kissed someone of the same sex?
-guilty twice! But
this means nothing! I'm straight!!!!

Asked someone to marry you?
-Innocent. I'm a hard core fan of singledom

Ever told a lie?
-Guilty, guilty, guilty!

Had feelings for someone whom you can’t have back?
-guilty. :(

Kissed a picture?
-innocent. i'm not crazy!

Slept in until 5 PM?
-innocent. I'm not much of a sleep person. :|

Danced on a table in a bar?
-innocent. never been to a bar!

Fallen asleep at work/school?
-guilty to the core. ye bhi koi poochnewali baat hain? ;)

Been suspended from school?
-innocent. got kicked out of class a couple of times. that's the highest i got near to suspension. I'm known for my "squeaky-clean" image yaar!

Worked at a fast food restaurant?
-innocent. in fact, I'm yet to begin earning on my own!

Stolen from a store?
-innocent. but i steal chocolates from kids almost all the time. :) sweet ol' me!

Laughed until something you were drinking came out your nose?
-guilty. ohhh yes.

Caught a snowflake on your tongue?
-innocent. :( sob sob. I live in Kerala, a snow-free zone.

Sat on a roof top?
-guilty. once

Sang in the shower?
-guilty enough to be executed

Been pushed into a pool with all your clothes on?
guilty. uncle pushed me into a pool at some water-theme park when i refused to try out any of the rides. [i used to be a completely spoilt, ruined snob of a kid. didn't like playing with anyone in those days]

-innocent. i'm single! but i used to make my sister cry a lot.

Shot a gun?
-guilty. The water guns were soooo much fun!

Donated Blood?
-innocent. Wish I could. But the authorities concerned would possibly try to give me blood!

Eaten alligator meat?
-Innocent. Haven't even tried crab meat!

Still love someone you shouldn't?
-Guilty. No comments. :|

Liked someone, but will never tell who?
-Guilty. Liked a lot of people at random phases of life and I just let that be. :)

Been too honest?
-Guilty
. Can't lie to mom. Not 'cos she can see thru me, but just so. 'Cos she's The Mom.

Kissed someone you shouldn't?
-Innocent. Naah, just kissed friends, cousins, babies and teddy bears. Bleh. Blae.

Ruined a surprise?
-Guilty. Several times. I told almost all my friends, the ending to New York before anyone had a chance to watch it! It gave me a wholesome sense of achievement. :)

Ate in a restaurant and got really bloated that you couldn't walk afterwards?
-Innocent. I'm one of those endangered species who never eat properly or enough. Just a bad habit of mine. I somehow like not eating much. Which is oh-so obvious once you see me.

Erased someone in your friends list?
-Guilty. Very, very guilty! But I don't think they have noticed that yet! They are those boring ppl who add friends like some trend or whatever.

Dressed in a woman's clothes [if you're a guy] or guy's clothes [if you're a girl]?
-Guilty. I think the answer had be more fun if I were a guy in drag.

Been told that you're handsome or beautiful by someone who totally meant what they said?
-Guilty. Only partially though.

Had communication with your ex?
-Innocent. No exes! And hey, that doesn't mean I'm playing the field, ok?

Got totally drunk on the night before your exam?
-Guilty. Only, it was caffeine in my case, no alcohol.

25 unexpected things about me

...which I don't think you will EVER comprehend. But still, you ought to know, since I was tagged to do this list long time back.
[See Jean? i keep promises, even if I do delay them by years at times!]

Shall we begin?

1. I believe in "15 till I die!"[doesn't make much sense since I'm no more even a teen]

2. I bought a cell phone only this January. It's weird that I have been phone-less for so long when everyone 13+ now seems to have a phone to boot.

3. I'm the mastermind who comes up with the zaniest and most impractical plans for my group. Never mind that we never try to actually work them out.

4. I'm insanely in love with, and proud of my pet name. You probably could only find people who are ashamed of their pet names. Not me!

5. And I love my real name just as much.

6. I like my blogger name too! [okay, that's it. I'm gonna stop gushing over my own names. makes me look like I have a totally inflated ego]

7. I STILL fantasize that I have this long-lost twin brother/elder brother whose name matches mine-Azhar! Now all I gotta do is find him, maybe he's in S.Korea? Or Spain? Papua New Guinea?

8. I'm sliiightly claustrophobic. I can bear closed spaces but they freak me out. Like, I could be sitting in the aircraft, and all that I can think of is that I'm stuck in here, can't simply walk out of this craft, what if it crashes, etc etc... Which is why I TOTALLY heart the desi autorickshaws. Yeah! completely desi girl!

9. I'm having a non-stop craving for pani-puris which aren't available anywhere within 1000 miles of where I live. Will anyone ship them to me??

10. I hate Roadies and Splitsvilla. Roadies used to be okay until the fourth season, then they lost it. Splitsvilla? you watch it, and I have a valid reason ow to hate you. Ugh!

11. I'm not exactly ur idea of healthy girl. in fact, i look positively anorexic. and i'm not interested enuf to eat a lot. but it ain't bcos I wanna stay skinny. it's just that i never was a foodie.

12. i enjoy cartoons much more than my kid sis. she likes hindi serials [OMG!] ...nah, just kidding!

13. I'm messy. And my mom's a cleanliness-freak.

14. I'm friggingly awesome at annoying people. My guru who kick started that passion in me is Alden Nusser whose book "French Fries Up your Nose" inspired me and has changed me into a "better" person forever. Hats off to you dude, you are the ultimate star!

15. have got wild, untameably curly hair. but i still love it sooo much!

16. I don't sweat much, even if i do, i don't turn on the fan. it's all about conserving energy bud.

17. my IDEAL PLAN FOR THE MOMENT is, save up money, hire an RV-trailer sort of bus/van[the kind rock stars travel in during tours], and go on the trip of a life-time across India with my Offbeat girlfriends, all the other People-I-Love. W.o.w! We'll have a video-cam and I'll keep on blogging to let you into the details.

18. I'm an obsessive kind of person. I get crushes and obsessions quickie.

19. I never had cable tv ever at my home. The first time came now, for this 2 month vaca. We are DD Direct DTH subscribers.

20. I smell my food before eating it. If it smells right, it tastes right!

21. I'm downright obsessed with the Korean channel on my DD DTH network. So much that I'm a complete die-hard fan of South Korean pop culture and now I know more about South Korean stars than I ever was interested in Bolly stars.

22. In fact, the reason WHY I'm a cable tv subscriber now is because DD DTH has removed my Korean channel from the network.

23. Even now I hound Korean entertainment blogs and websites for the latest info about what's going on there. I'm a major fan of South Korean music nowadays.

24. My choice of speaking vocab is plain weird and outta-this-world.

25. My former obsessions include F.R.I.E.N.D.S [sane enuf], Rajeev Khandelwal [bored now], Harry Potter [I even have HP game cards and a Marauder's map of my college i created myself], and there are obsessions that still prevail, like brothers, Keira Knightley etc. I'm guessing my craziest obsession to date must be This S.Korean one though.

My current celebrity crushes are two Korean stars, Lee Minho and Kang Ji Hwan. Two very wow personalities.

I tag anyone who is interested enough.

Comeback with a tag

Been weeks since I blogged anything. Urk.
First off, it's a tag which I have kept pending for quite a long time. So my misadventures' post will follow only after this one.
I have been tagged by the very elusive Pirate Phoenix!!
Without further fussing, off we go!

1.What have you realised recently?
That I'm completely, totally, overwhelmingly crushed on a Korean drama, "Sassy Girl". So much, that I'm crawling the web for all sorts of info on it. Yes,you read right, no need to rub eyes. I.am.watching Korean serials now. The Pehli Nazar Mein was actually lifted from this drama's BGM!
2.Have you given your first kiss away?
To babies, teddy bears and the like. And friends. Nothing of the sort you intended when asking this qweshun.
3. If you were to be stranded on a deserted island, who are the 11 blog buddies you would take?
For one thing,I don't think I have 11 blog buddies either (just like you PP).
The ones I will take however would be;
The Nishi, AJ &Mohu---My 3 North blog buddies
Jean & PP- my South blog buddies
Blue Butterfly- though she ain't ecjactly a friend-friend,and our communication is strictly only thru comments on each others' blogs, I sure would like to have her around.
I feel like I've grown up with all of you guys! Thanks to your blogs.
AR Rahmaniac- Hope he brings his music system too so that the whole blogger circus that are-going-to-be-on-the-island don't get bored.
I had like Aamir Khan too!Though he's not a buddy, he's got a cool blog nah?
But on the other hand,I have always wanted to be stranded with my friends. Too bad they don't have blogs. Dusk does. But she hasn't blogged for 3 months.
4.Where is the place you want to go the most?
The Shire and Hogsmeade-fictionwise/
A lot of places-non fictionwise/
Like Kashmir,Coorg,Nainital, Agra, Delhi, England(because of the downpours they get), Austria(because of all the one million odd romantic Bollywood songs picturised there), Seychelles....
Why,why,WHY this qwestun??? I s.i.m.p.l.y don't know which place I want to go most!
5.If you have one dream to come true, what would it be?
Freeze time. Keep it frozen so that I don't have to leave college and my friends ever. So that I'm not required to grow up.
6.Do you believe in seeing the rainbow after the rain?
I get too busy enjoying the rain to notice any rainbows unless someone points it out. What's this about believing? It's not as if I believe in leprechauns and flabby devils!
7.What are you afraid of losing the most now?
Faith in God and confidence in myself. [I know it sounds like pre-rehearsed lines pouted by some empty-headed celeb]
But when I think more, actually I'm more afraid of losing weight now. I'm already skinny, if I lose anymore weight I'd be looking practically anorexic! Gak!
8.If you win $1 million, what would you do?
Shell a quarter of it on a week-long all-girls dream trip to... well, that's a secret!
Buy a swanky apartment so I get to live with my friends for.Ever, spend the rest on chocolates. Come to think of it, I will rent out the swanky apartment so that I can keep getting money for the chocolates. And no. I'm not sharing the chocolates with AnyOne.
But can I do all this with one million dollars???
9.If you meet someone that you love, would you confess to him/her?
I'm not very expressive, so I'm not sure if that will ever happen.
10.List out 3 good points about the person who tagged you
Whoever came up with this tag is sure cunning!
Well, 3 good points on PP?
* She's sweet
*She's got a pretty thoughtful blog out there.
*And she's erm, sweet again. Sorry PP, I'm pretty bad on this!
11.What are the requirements that you wish from your other half?
Good one! He must be tolerant of my singing. I sing all time though I know I suck at it. Should be intelligent, witty, and at least sliiightly insane and bizarre. AND we should have similar taste in music. Is ok if he hates my tastes, but should bite his tongue and bear it. Should be protective of me. =)
So my Romeo, where fore art thou?
12.What type of people do you hate the most?
Liars, hypocrites and naggy old aunts and naggy-old-aunt types.
13.What is the one thing you can't live without?
Right now, I can't live without the Korean channel KBS. Good soaps and better reality shows. I have even given up watching Hindi channels altogether for this one! Weird!
14. If you have faults, would you rather the people around you point out to you or would you rather they keep quiet?
Depends on who's telling me. Its ok if my mad pals are pointing out my mistakes. I might get venomous and vicious if anyone else criticised me.
15. PP's tag shows that this qwestun is missing. What do I do?

16.Are you a shopaholic or not?
I can control myself. Since I don't earn. If I were earning,I'm afraid I'd go broke by day 2 itself.
17.Find a word to describe the person who tagged you
Sweet.
18.If you have a chance, which part of your character you would like to change?
My inferiority complex.
19.What’s the last shocking thing you've seen or heard?
I am shock-proof. No,I'm not a Fastrack watch. Nothing shocks me, is all.
20.Would you rather have love but no money or money but no love?
It's like the name of that dismal movie "Money hain to Honey hain".

Lastly, I tag:
Nishi, AJ, Mohua, Dusk, Amrita, Matangi and Blue Butterfly. Jean's been already tagged.

Der Musikal Tag

I'm gonna do some revival and cheer myself and y'all!
I'd thought of doing Nishi's musical tag, but got a bit dragged down. So, here is your Raphael, trying to get back in form!
First of all, put your MP3 player/media player on shuffle.
For each question, press the next button for your answer.
You should write the song down, NO MATTER WHAT.
and hey, NO CHEATING!

1.IF SOMEONE SAYS "IS THIS OKAY?", YOU SAY?
Take me away-Avril Lavigne Well, you should know if it's ok or not.Why should you ask me?

2.WHAT WOULD BEST DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONALITY?
Sajni- Jal Sajni means "sweetheart/darling something, right? I'm not too sure.. Anyways, me thinks of myself as "sajni"? C'mon! I'm not that vain!

3.WHAT DO YOU LIKE IN A GUY/GIRL?
Umbrella-Rihanna "When the sun shines,we'll shine together, told you I'll be here forever, said I'll always be your friend, took an oath, I'mma stickin on till the end.."
That's ALL I want to hear!
But Umbrella ain't exactly what I'd like in someone else. Mebbe something cuter and mo' significant?

4.HOW DO YOU FEEL TODAY?
Reason-Hoobastank "I'm not a perfect person..but I continue learning"
Too true.

Eight pointed by the Moon

So here I am, after a slothy week.
To do a tag. Tagged by Nishi again!
So without making you read deviations from the topic, we shall begin.

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!
Eight things I'm passionate about:
1. Chocolates& Coffee- I'm usually a nice person. Chocolates bring out the mean me. If I get chocolate, I'm not sharing with anyone. Not with the cutest baby(ok, my niece maybe. I'm ready to sacrifice the best chocolate for her), not my darling friends, just NO ONE.
2. Good company. Friends. I like keeping myself surrounded by friends. If not in the physical sense, then in any other sense. Gah!
3. Music and books and poetry- I needn't say anything!
4.Sports. Just so that I get messy
5.Simplicity- the one mantra(among the many) that rules my life.
6.BLoGginG! PLus diary writing-How can I forget that? My newly found Zahir. (didn't catch that? read some Paulo Coelho)
7. Travelling. Ah the green meadows and vales are a'calling me... Not all like that. But I love travelling.
8.Graffiti, doodling, blowing bubbles, blah blah

Eight things I wanna do before I die:
1. Do a lot of charity work. I need to pay back, nah?
2.Pilgrimage. Sounds too saintly for a teen girl to say. But I really want to do that before I die. Mom did. I was scared she might come back all holier-than-thou. No. She just came back nicer and straighter.
3. Learn guitar, violin and the piano. (I think I can handle drums, practice from school and college benches)
4.Learn French and Spanish. ( I really want to flaunt my C'est la vie and voullez vous when I finally get a chance to go to Pondicherry or the Real France)
5. Travel. But globetrotting can wait. I want to travel India first. I want to know the India apart from the commercialised version you see on telly. Taj Mahal gets top priority though!
Then I wanna go everywhere else. and Disney Land.
6.Bungee Jump. Very much on my list. But I donno if I will have this same enthusiasm and courage when THE MOMENT comes.
7. Live in an apartment. Me and my girlfriends. Just us and our adventures. Anyway most of our parents are totally frustrated with us and mutter things like, "just run away from here, I don't know how anyone can handle you!" To which we religiously answer back, "I will run away with my gang." Everyone's ready in the virtual sense. God know where we shall be next year. Sab ke sab apne apne raaste jayenge. =(
8. Write a best seller. ok, at least have a famous blog.

Eight things I say often:
1. Blae! My personal expression of disgust. Mine own. No one can lay hold, or say they made it. ok, my friends use it too. plus many others in my college too now.
2. "Poor me!" , that's mostly said soon after doing something especially naughty. I put on a very innocent demeanour. ;)
3.What say?
4. Smoky!
5.What the ----? I actually leave a gap there. I leave that to listener's imagination. Fill it as you please.
6. Naff off !
7. Whatever
8. *beep* Ummm..And I cuss a lot nowadays. A bit too much than is ok. When I speak, I'm becoming more and more qualified for the beep sounds! I'm trying to come down on that.

Eight books I've read recently:
*interfering-" How much recent does recent mean? B'cos I haven't read anything more recent than last year!
1. Orhan Pamuk-Memories of a City. By the end of it, Turkey seemed all black and white to me 2.Milan Kundera- Unbearable Lightness of Being Nothing more cool than the title. I regret having taken that book. I really regret that. So...I don't even know what to call it!
3.Gabriel Garcia Marquez- Clandestine in Chile Now this is a book I will recommend to everyone who had ask me about his works. It's taken from real life where an exile comes back in disguise with much risk to himself to expose the realities of dictatorship in Chile. Awesome. Great book this one.
4. J.M Coetzee-Disgrace Booker winner. Worth a read. About the disgrace a man goes through. Beautiful. I could feel the character's conflicted emotions in my skin! Creepy!
5. Anita Desai- Journey to Ithaca I didn't like it. That's it. That's all.
6. Kiran Desai-Inheritance of Loss Whatever you do, please don't make the mistake of reading
this book. Seriously. You will come back with lots of hair in your hands (from pulling them in frustration as the story unravels). It is vaguely reminiscent of God of Small Things style. But nothing wonderful to expect here. So DON'T read this one. Oh crap. I should have known that advices always backfire. Someone says don't look, and you are certain to look. Mph!
7.Richard Bach- Jonathan Livingston Seagull and The Bridge Across Forever Worth a read and more. I loved both his works. Wanting to check his rest works as well.
8.Paulo Coelho- Alchemist and Zahir Wonderful. Bach and Coelho are cool at philo-stuff. Way too cool.
Plus many, many other books. But you asked only 8! I squeezed in 10, nah? Am I allowed to squeeze more?

Eight songs I listen to over and over again:
1.Kuch is Tarah-Atif Aslam I'm wiping away the tears all over again. Atif!!!!! Whatte soulful voice, man!
2.Leave Out All The Rest-L.P Ubercool song
3.My Happy Ending-Avril Lavigne I almost wished I had been cheated! God forbid!
4.Abhi Nahi Aana-Sona Warm and mopey melody. Luvved it
5.My Immortal-Evanescence Over and over again
5.You're beautiful-James Blunt too many memories attached
6.Several A.R Rahman compositions. I'd be like, forever at my desk if i were to put them down in here!
6.Rabba-Musafir
7.Tere mere sapne oldie song
7.Abhi na jao chodkar,ke dil abhi bhara nahi oldie song this one too
8. Tere bin nahi lagta dil mera-Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan thanks to "bend it like beckham" for introducing me to this track.
8.Eternal Flame-Bangles
I cheated so many times! I'll be thwacked by all who read this! =0
But right now I'm listening to Enrique's "Somebody's Me".

Eight things that attract me to my friends:
1.Truthfulness- even though it becomes pretty harsh, blunt and painful at times.
2.You're weird? Then you're definitely one of my friends!
3.Be able to speak my thoughts, HAVE my thoughts.
4.Ability to beat the melancholy and depresion out of me
5. Not bothered about trivial stuff like "what will others say?"
6.Ready to execute any hare brained plan.
7. Must fight once in a while at the least.
8.Must understand me. But it's ok if you can't. Only one has achieved that feat. Now I'm used to not being understood. It's become part of my life. ie-not being understood.

Eight persons I'm tagging:
I really don't have too many blogger friends. So this list might be shortened.
1.Dusk- darling,it's high time you updated.
2.Mohua
3. Jean-the bean who's blog is dying. But she insisits it can come back to life whenever she wants it to!
4. Maggie
5. J-if he hasn't already done it.
6. Champak-if he has a blog. If not, well-begin one!
7. And K.S
8. And anyone who's intersted in doing the tag.

I can't believe that I made this simple tag seem Herculean. Sheesh!
P.S- How does the picture look? Shot by me! ME-ME-ME!!!

Maybe we could have an eight on celeb crushes too. I could have done it.
Bas, this is more than enuff!
